A wonderful Saturday surprise!!

I received a fantastic surprise in the post this morning from Yiota at Shells and Bells Flowers and Showers. I love anything arty and the painting of the yachts by a "foot and mouth painter"
made me realize how lucky I am to have my hands to do all the things that I do!
It is also nice to see an oil painting (below) done by a Greek artist. Unfortunately
the colours haven't come out quite right in the photograph! It is much nicer than this! The butterfly stickers and little note pad are sooo pretty!!!! Thank you Yiota!

The Summer Fayre is next Saturday at school. My mum and I have been quite busy when time allows, making things to sell for school funds, including some crocheted bunting! Here are some of the items:

This is my box of beaded sales items standing by for next Saturday!!!
Now back to finishing my school shoe art project. When it has been marked by my art teacher I shall take some photos!
Have a great weekend!!

I'm Back!!!

Oooooo! What a wonderful holiday, such warm weather! We set out from Northumberland at 5 am this morning and arrived back home a short while ago. My mum and I went for lots of walks and we did some gardening in our friends garden.
This is one aspect of the garden where we stayed. It is a great garden for bird watching!
This is a photo I took of one of the many birds we saw on our walks.

In between all this fun I did get lots of crafting done!! I have finished 3 projects. One I cannot show because it is a friends birthday present and she currently reads this blog!! ;)
This is a necklace centre piece, made up of little beaded squares and rectangles sewn together to create this unique form.
Just a little bracelet to sell (for school funds) at the up coming summer fayre.
And a small wall hanging inspired by Marigold Jam's gorgeous sewing.
We returned to happy chickens and happy dogs which had been well looked after by my much older brother!! Thank you Bro!
Back to school on Monday! Hope you all have a happy weekend and thank you for all your encouraging comments and support.

First EGG!!!

We now have our first egg and after thinking about it for a while I decided to just simply fry it and taste the yummy goodness!!
I have named the chickens Ruby and Bonnie. Ruby had red, sore skin where her feathers were missing when she arrived, but now she has normal skin colour and I hope the feathers grow back! Bonnie has a very crossed beak and she sometimes misses what she is trying to pick up! They are two chickens given to me from a friend of a friend. I don't know where they originally came from! They have settled very well and do lots of scratching about at the side of the house.

It is half term week now and I am going to Northumberland with my mum and with my maths study book! There is no Internet where I am going and I will miss everyone's blogs for a week!
We break up for the summer holidays on the 23rd July which seems a long way off right now!

I will be able to do some crafting whilst I am away and then do a blog when I return to show you.
Will miss you all!

Internet woes

Hello everyone, finally the Internet has come on when i want to use it! We have had weeks of on and off problems with it! (It is still painfully slow to do anything on it)
It has also been a busy few weeks at school. Just a little update on the Garden front - Plants are finally growing and filling out.

My next exciting news is that I now have ... 2 CHICKENS!!! They are a little tatty but hopefully after a lot of TLC, feathers will grow back and they will start laying delicious eggs.

I have been trying for ages to get the photographs to upload, unfortunately the internet is still playing up. This is sooooo frustrating!! Yippeeee!! At long last!

Garden Cross Stitch

My mum and I have been busy doing some cross stitching. Mine is the small watering can (I haven't had a lot of time to do crafting at the moment!) We enjoyed choosing the colours and it brightened up a few grey days when the sun would not shine!
At least these gardens will last through the winter!!! Happy weekend,

Garden update!

We have had some rain today which has watered the garden nicely, as the newly planted flowers were beginning to look a little tired.
The front garden is slowly filling with plants, but it is sometimes difficult to keep the doggies off them!!
I have also started a few little projects in my small amounts of spare time. I hope they will be ready soon!! :D
Happy weekend

Beaded spring :D

I have been busy making some 'spring like' beading, before going back to school. I may not get chance to bead until the summer holidays in August and so I have made the most of the Easter break!!
I now just have to finish a different bracelet for a friends birthday.
Happy weekend!!
