Robert Louis Stephenson wrote this poem which I like. It reminds me of the Mists of Avalon and also the flowers that I sometimes see growing in the grass outside of school. (Especially Lady Smock!!)
Moonbeam
All the names I know from nurse: (In my case Mum!)
Gardener's garters, Shepherd's purse,
Bachelor's buttons, Lady's Smock,
And the Lady Hollyhock.
Fairly places, Fairy things,
Fairy woods where the wild bee wings,
Tiny trees for tiny dames -
These must all be Fairy names!

I like the new style blog! Love that poem too - I know all those names but never have a clue what the proper names are!
It certainly is goo dto have a good book when the weather is bad outside! Or even when it's good - I love sitting in the garden in the summer with my book too!

The Mists of Avalon is a new one on me Lucy. I'll search it out and have a look at it.Anything to do with books gives me great pleasure, whether it's buying them , reading them , making them or getting inspiration, like you, from them. Lovely poem too. Lesley

You are so wise beyond your age, it amazes me. I, too, love the Mist of Avalon. And I'm betting you know Anne of Green Gables too. She is one of my favorites. She lived on Prince Edwards Island up near Canada. If you haven't read the books, check them out of the library, they are great.
